This first get together is an introductory session. This will give girls (ages 11-15) an opportunity to decide if they want to commit to the program for the remainder of the summer – on Tuesdays for 8 weeks.
Trainees will be given basic training in craft making, sewing fashion accessories, caring and entrepreneurship. There is no cost for Part 1 (5 weeks) of this course and supplies will be provided. Sweat equity is required, not optional. If one wishes to use materials for their own craft there is a small fee to cover the costs. A nominal fee is charged to cover the cost of Part 2 of this course – where teams of girls select projects to teach, create and market.
