Shippen Manor Lawn Concert - This Way to the Egress

Sunday, August 12, 2018 -
5:00pm to 7:00pm

This week's FREE Summer Lawn Concert presented by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission is This Way to the Egress.

This Way to the Egress features Tyrant Taylor, front man and accordion; Sarah Shown on keys, violin and vocals; Toobie Doo on Tuba; Joe Bone Lynch on Trombone; Jaclyn the Kidd on guitar and banjo; and Greg on drums. Based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the band presents sounds of vaudeville and swing combined with 1920s cabaret that is reminiscent of Jacques Brel and Tom Waits. They are a refreshing unique and eclectic fusion of Swamp Punk, Dark Cabaret, Day of the Dead, and Klezmer.

Critics have been united in their praise for This Way to the Egress: “Great tunes for a road trip.” – Bonnie and Clyde. “I knew who they were before they got big.” - Nostradamus. If you want to know what many of the hip younger generation are listening to, Egress will show you the way at Shippen Manor August 12 at 5pm.

Bring lawn chairs or a blanket, pack a picnic if you like, and relax and enjoy a variety of  live musical performances - FREE- Sunday evenings all summer long on the lawn of Shippen Manor. Rain or Shine.

Shippen Manor is located just west of Route 31 in Oxford. This free concert is presented by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission, supported by the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. Concerts at Shippen Manor are open to all, with limited reserved accessible parking and lavatories available.
