Virtual! Victorian Days

Saturday, September 12, 2020 to Sunday, September 13, 2020

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, the 32nd Annual Victorian Days will "step back in time" online! (A notable exception is the Antique Car Show, which will take place in person.) Stay tuned to Instagram and Facebook for updates!

Virtual highlights:

  • First ever Virtual House Tour! Have you missed the house tours in past years? This year is your chance to take a peek inside some of the beautiful Victorian houses in Belvidere from the comfort of your couch.
  • Are you a musician, craftsperson, steampunk artisan, historical re-enactor, or historical educator? The organizers are still looking for performers for our virtual event! (In particular, they are seeking speakers or interpreters focused on 19th C. Black history or the 19th C. immigrant experience.)
  • We will miss seeing the beautiful gowns and debonair suits in the park this year, but you'll still have the chance to show off those beautiful vintage, reproduction, and steampunk garments ONLINE! Just fill out our form to sign up, and create a short video of you (or a friend) modeling your garment with some commentary about the piece.
  • Calling artists of all experience levels and ages! The 2020 Victorian Days Plein Air Art Competition is open for registrants! What better activity for social distancing than heading out into the beautiful, quiet streets of Belvidere to paint?
