Treat Mom! Villa Milagro hosts a Virtual Wine & Chocolate Tasting, pairing delectable handmade chocolates from two different chocolatiers with two different wines. Sign up for the event before May 6 and they will ship your wine & chocolate selections to you. Your order will ship on Wednesday, May 6 and should arrive by Friday. You may also pick up at the winery.
Then on May 9 via Zoom there will be a guided virtual tasting and pairing. All participants will join in to discuss why certain flavor profiles compliment one another and how to "accessorize" a chocolate tasting. Cathy LaGuardia, Chocolate in the Oven, will talk about chocolate.
Details: Casi Dulce, a smokey, "almost sweet" wine will be paired with creamy milk chocolate covered caramel truffles, chocolate covered pear flavored truffles and white chocolate truffles. Next we will pair Besame, our chocolate infused, port-style wine with dark chocolate truffles infused with pomegrante and with Grand Marnier truffles. Finally we will pair Besame with a truffle from Chocolate in the Oven in Milford made the our Besame.
