As the only general history and cultural museum for the Township of Blairstown, they care for thousands of items which illustrate the history of the township and its inhabitants, including former resident and founder John Insley Blair (an American entrepreneur, railroad magnate, philanthropist and one of the 19th century's wealthiest men).
Community Supported Agriculture gives an opportunity for a community of people to take responsibility for supporting a farm. It is a partnership between the farmers and the people who directly benefit from the food. These local people share the abundance as well as the risks and costs of cultivating the land in the most responsible manner. As members come onto the farm they can reconnect with the land, the food, the farmers and the seasons.
GrowingDirt.com, a farm at Agrestic Acres is a sustainable 12 acre farm. They believe in using an all natural, sustainable, pasture based system that results in better quality food, a better life for the animals, better soils and great vegetables. They use non-GMO feed locally sourced and milled and in 2018 they will grind feed on-sight in small batches providing super fresh non-gmo feed to their animals. At Growingdirt.com, they developed an "open format" CSA because they wanted their shareholders to have the freedom to choose when and what their share dollars went towards.

The Lopatcong Creek Initiative is dedicated to promoting river friendly living, working, and farming throughout our 22 square mile watershed. We are committed to raising awareness about the critical connection between the health of our water and the health of our communities and to educating our neighbors about how simple choices can lessen our environmental impact, reduce pollution, and conserve the water resources we depend on. We provide volunteer opportunities throughout the year to engage the community in projects and cleanups in addition to workshops and training. We also provide watershed presentations to schools and community groups to teach the next generation about how pollution travels through our watershed and into our stream. We are eager to help connect landowners, farmers, and municipalities to additional opportunities and funds that have been invested in our watershed's river friendly enhancements.
The Musconetcong Watershed Association leads hiking and paddling trips and hosts River Talks on a wide variety of topics. We have a 4 Mile Run/Walk for the River the first Sunday in May and a Wine Tasting Event along the River the first Saturday in October.
