Centenary Stage Co. presents Hitler’s Tasters

Reserve your tickets now for this world premiere show! Inspired by the true story. Three times a day, every day, a group of young women have the opportunity to die for their country. They are Adolph Hitler's food tasters. As they wait to see if they will live through another meal -like all girls throughout time - they gossip and dream, they question and dance. Warren County History Museums Open

Spend an afternoon visiting the Jim and Mary Lee Museum at Plane 9 West in the Port Warren Heritage Area, Stewartsville, and the Warren County History Museum at Morris Canal Bread Lock Park in New Village, too. These two museums, both located at sites on the route of the old Morris Canal, are open and staffed by volunteers today, 1-4pm. Learn how the canal boats moved up and down the hills of northern New Jersey as they traversed the state from from Port Delaware – AKA Phillipsburg – to Jersey City. Walk the towpath trail, and learn about other aspects of Warren County's rich history.

Women Playwrights Series: Turning by Darrah Cloud

Centenary Stage Company kicks off this year's Women Playwrights Series with a staged reading of Darrah Cloud's play inspired by the stories of the first US Women's Gymnastics Team and their journey to the controversial 1936 Berlin Olympics. Seating is limited so please reserve, and a $5 donation per ticket is requested. Initiated in 1992, the WPS is dedicated to providing a working forum for the unique voice of women writing for theatre today, and has helped to develop the work of over 60 playwrights from around the country, producing more than 14 world premieres on the CSC mainstage. Staged readings are followed by a lively discussion with the playwrights and casts. Other WPS events are Havana Orthodoxy by Vita Patrick Morales on April 18 and Another Revolution by Jacqueline Bircher on April 25.
