Celebrating its 80th year of providing affordable family fun, the Farmers' Fair continues through Saturday, featuring the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the 20th Annual Traditional Arts Expo as well. Highlights include carnival wrist band specials; motorized events (tractor pulls Wednesday and Thursday, Demolition Derby Friday, and the unique Mud Bog events Saturday); a hay bale rolling contest; pro wrestling; music; a reunion of past Fair Queens; Mass Hot Air Balloon Launches; and so much more!

Celebrating over 20 years of acclaimed musical theatre training for young thespians, Centenary Stage Company’s Young Performers Workshop returns to the Little Theater August 4 through August 13 with the annual Summer Festival of Shows.  These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 will present a variety of musical theater favorites including She Loves Me, a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance.  Featuring music by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof) and book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret).

Marty’s Reliable Cycle and the Foodshed Alliance present the second Tour de Blairstown, in a beautiful town ready to share the secret of its unparalleled cycling with the rest of the world! Ride 25, 40 or 62 mile routes through Blairstown and the surrounding area on marked routes with rest stops along the way, to benefit the Foodshed Alliance. Check-in for registered riders on August 5, 6:30-9am, with Continental breakfast. Register online - $45 online and $50 the day of the event. Lunch after the ride is included in your registration fee and is being catered by Race Farm Cafe and Creamery. The Canal Society of New Jersey offers a wide range of programming at Waterloo Village this year including the new Highlands Canal Boat Exhibit featuring the recently discovered remains of what may be the last Morris Canal Boat. Travel back to the early 1900s as they screen three of the greatest silent comedies ever made, Charlie Chaplin’s One A.M. (1916) Buster Keaton’s Cops (1922) and Laurel & Hardy’s Big Business (1929) with their historic orchestral scores.

With a book and lyrics by Alfred Uhry and music by Robert Waldman, The Robber Bridegroom is a rousing, bawdy Southern fairytale from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Driving Miss Daisy and is one of the only genuine bluegrass scores ever heard in a Broadway musical.  Set in 18th century Mississippi, the show follows Jamie Lockhart, a rascally robber of the woods, as he courts Rosamund, the only daughter of the richest planter in the country.  The proceedings go awry, however, thanks to a case of double-mistaken identity coupled with an evil stepmother, a pea-brained henchman and a hostile talking head-in-a-trunk, making for a rollicking country romp.
