Starting July 19, 2017

Local corn has arrived! As have peaches, cucumbers, blueberries, plums, zucchini, beets, cabbage, and the list goes on. Check out the Jersey Fresh website to find out about other produce currently in season, as well as recipes, Farmstands, Community Supported Agriculture and more. This week's cover photo is courtesy of Donaldson Farms in Hackettstown, which is advertising its own corn picked fresh daily, and hosts weekly Summer Nights on the Farm! We are the Garden State after all, which is worthy of celebration and indulgence. So harvest that garden, visit those Farmers' Markets and Farmstands, and dig in!

Next weekend brings the Warren County Farmers' Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival, so why not consider entering a contest?  Vie for prizes in Baking, Canning, Herbs, Flowers, Fruit, Vegetables, and much more. Click here for a complete list of contests, and here for Rules & Regulations.

But don't let all this agricultural merriment keep you from participating in some of the other activities listed below, such as live music, theater, history, comedy and nature. So stay cool (here's a list of swimming facilities),  and Happy Wanderings!
