"Spring brings new growth, weed out the bad and make room for something beautiful."- Anonymous

Crocuses, photographed above by Knowlton resident Montana Benson, are some of the first arrivals to the spring party, representing rebirth and new beginnings.

Sunday marks the official start of spring and we are welcoming it with open arms. Many places are still celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with music, food and drinks.

Head out to Kathy’s Kove and Kafe as their green and gold yarn is 10% and Ruben empanadas are $2 at Empanada Mamasita. Brook Hollow Winery is having a full weekend of mint Merlot shakes, their classic St. Paddy’s meal and live music. Dalton’s Columbia Inn, Architects Golf Club and even Mohican Farms has traditional corned beef and cabbage.

Enjoy the first day of spring and Happy Wanderings!

Day of the Dead - that rare holiday where grief gets exchanged for celebration!  It's never an ordinary day, but for 9-year-old Bibi and her mom Francine, their family life in Akron, Ohio is about to forever change.  1: their dog just died. 2: Francine's nearly broke.  3: their dearly departed are far from dead and buried - they aren't even dead.  So if you're thinking to cross the Rainbow Bridge, better fasten that seatbelt! This show making its world-premiere run was developed through Centenary Stage Company's Women Playwright's Project and written by Ruth Kirschner, who was recently nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. There are just four performances left, including a Live Stream of the April 9 show.
