"All those hours exploring the great outdoors made me more resilient and confident." - David Suzuki (Canadian academic, science broadcaster and environmental activist)

Is it really spring? Is it safe to come out? That's what this raccoon (photographed by Kent Sweigert near the Delaware Water Gap in Warren County) seems to be saying. Why yes, little Rocky, while the weather can't make up its mind, the flowers are flowering, blooms are blooming and spring events are arriving, like the Hackettstown Spring Festival, opening weekend for The Winery Train, the MWA Run for the River, and a Spring Hike and Writing Workshop with the Ridge and Valley Conservancy. Sunday is Cinco de Mayo with festivities at Buck Hill Brewery and Villa Milagro. And, don't forget to plan ahead! Ideas on where you can celebrate Mother's Day are included, so read on! Happy May Day and Happy Wanderings!
