"For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue." - James A. Garfield

Memorial Day weekend marks the traditional start of the summer fun season, but before we jump right into a three-day break full of picnics, parties, and other warm-weather fun, let's pause to remember the servicemen and servicewomen who made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedoms. Memorial Day observances - including three parades and a cemetery tour - are found in today's Community Corner section. Meanwhile, Land of Make Believe opens for the season this weekend - see below or click here for the full story - and Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers Workshop raises the curtain on the Spring Festival of Shows, with four musicals in rotation this weekend and next. Each one is listed below, so read on for that and more! Happy Memorial Day, and Happy Wanderings!
