The Festival in the Borough Weekend kicks off at William's Irish Tavern on Friday night with the amazing blues rocker Johnny Charles and his trio!
Nationally known for his work with major headliners, as well as his own body of work, Charles is a W.C. Handy Blues Foundation Award winner who has taken his blues guitar on the road throughout the Northeast and South. His albums have been nationally ranked as among the best.
The native New Jerseyan has shared the bill with numerous greats including B.B. King, Roy Buchanan, Jimmy Vaughan, John Mayall, Johnny Copeland, Dr. John, Humbert Sumlin, Ronnie Earl and Roomful of Blues.
