The Hackettstown Rotary Club recently held a Virtual Harvest Paint and Sip Event recently under the instruction of Kerry Howard of Artstitution. Thirty-six individuals participated and $540 was raised for The Himalayan Cataract Project. These funds will pay for 22 cataract surgeries in the countries of Nepal, Ethiopia, Ghana, Bhutan, India, Myanmar and Rwanda.
The National Park Service (NPS) has released the final Visitor Use Management Plan (VUM Plan) for Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River. The VUM Plan is the culmination of a 5-year planning effort that began in summer 2015 and included a great deal of time, energy, collaboration, and input by neighboring town governments, chambers of commerce, industry partners, communities, stakeholders, NPS staff, and the public.
Centenary Stage Company rings in the Holiday season with a brand-new adaptation of Charles Dicken’s classic A Christmas Carol by Stephen Temperley. In-person live performances continue December 2 through December 13 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center. In addition to the in-person performances, CSC will be hosting a special Live Stream event during the 2 p.m. performance on Sunday, December 6.

The Club is holding a Harvest Paint and Sip Night on November 12 as a virtual Zoom event where attendees will learn painting skills and techniques while being guided by a professional artist. Participants will learn how to paint a festive pumpkin (flier is attached) from the comfort and safety at home.
