Just in time for the Halloween season, Centenary Stage Company opens their 2024-2025 Professional Theatre Series with The Weir, October 4 - 20. The story is set in a Sligo, Ireland bar, a place the local men come to swap spooky stories. Their attempt to impress a young Dublin woman who’s recently moved into a nearby "haunted" house is foiled as she tells her own haunted tale. A preview matinee happens Friday, October 4 at 2pm and features $10 tickets for Hackettstown Residents with proof of address at the door.

Rutherfurd Hall presents the 9th Annual Fall Jazz series, featuring the last two ensembles, Hendrik Meurkens Quartet, Sunday October 13 and “Cubano Be, Cubano Bop”: A Musical Journey, Sunday December 1. This series continues to entertain audiences with exceptional quality musicians, featuring the songs of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin and Johnny Mercer to name a few.
Centenary Statge Company opens the 2024-25 season with Curtain Up! featuring The Great American SOULbook, Saturday, September 21 at 8pm. This high energy group delivers a journey through the decades of Motown, R&B and other iconic soulful music that inspired generations and highlights the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and beyond.
The third and final Warren County hot air balloons fest of the year will take place at Warren County Community College in Washington Township September 21 – 22. Enjoy a variety of food trucks, vendors, children’s entertainment and games, live bands and DJ, tethered rides, and of course, a mass hot air balloon launch, taking off each night between 5:15 – 6 pm (weather permitting).
Race Farm in Blairstown Township, Warren County, has been certified under the River Friendly Farm Program by the North Jersey Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D).
Centenary Stage Company concludes their SummerFest series with, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, a celebration of the mating game, taking on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.” With book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, sketches and songs pay tribute to those who have loved and lost, fallen on their face at the portal of romance, and those who dared to ask, “Say, what are you doing Saturday night?”
Summer is well underway but there is still time to visit Warren County’s unique attractions. Warren County Commissioner Director James R. Kern III did just that, touring Lakota Wolf Preserve and Camp Taylor Campground in Knowlton Township.
Centenary Stage Company presents their summer musical series beginning with Grease. Performances for Grease will run July 11 – 21 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus in Hackettstown, NJ.
Under the artistic direction of Maureen Glennon Clayton, moe-tion dance theater will present a new event, Intermix ~ A Choreography Showcase, as part of the Centenary Stage Company’s season at Centenary University on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 7 p.m. This new curated showcase will feature emerging and established artists from the tri-state area; dancers, choreographers, and dance companies.
