William’s Irish Tavern is the fulfillment of a vision and was years in the making. Three local friends dreamt about a local gathering place, a pub style atmosphere, to meet and talk after work and even to bring the family for a quick bite to eat. The resulting restaurant and bar, which launched in 2016, embodies the spirit of a founding father of Washington Borough, Colonel William McCullough, who built the township’s first ever tavern.
Today, William’s Irish Tavern serves the best Guinness in town, but their rotating taps will satisfy any beer taste. They also serve a full menu of food including Shephard's pie, appetizers, sandwiches and much more.
