From Fields to Foccica: Kids Class on Bread Making on Marksboro Mills
This two hour class is built for kids, giving them hands in flour, sticky fingers dimpling dough, and pulling something warm out of the oven that they made themselves. No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to get a little floury. Each child leaves with a warm focaccia, a dough ready to bake the next day, simple baking instructions for their grown-up, and a new understanding of where bread actually comes from.
Raritan River Music Festival: Trio Ondata Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church
The 37th Rartian River Music Festival is underway, with Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church hosting American Mycelium: Explorations of the New World. Music by Shostakovich, Haydn, Esmail & Shaw performed by the dynamic young Trio Ondata (violin, cello, piano), winner of awards at the 2022 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The Winery Train to Villa Milagro Opens for the Season
The Warren County winery train makes its first trip of the season! Board at the Lehigh Junction Station in old town Phillipsburg for a scenic trip along the banks of the beautiful Delaware River, then tour Villa Milagro vineyard and winery to learn how grapes are grown and wines are made, followed by a wine tasting paired with hors d'oeuvres. Train runs weekends through the end of October.
