Starting February 23, 2022

“Lion days are stormy, filled with rain and wind. Lamb days, warm and cozy, cause the Sun to come out again,” – Anonymous

Just as February seems to fly by, so do the snow geese that make a yearly migration to Warren County. This photo, courtesy of Kent Sweigert, beautifully captures their brief visit.

Rest assured, Warren County is full of venues coming alive and shaking off winter’s cold. And while we’re not over winter yet, this week’s Wanderings will put a spring in your step!

Among the highlights: Hackettstown BID kicks off its St. Patrick’s Day festivities with a Bar and Brew Crawl; Musconentcong Watershed Association premieres its 3rd Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival, featuring films about conservation, sustainability, and problem solving with respect to our planet; and “Meteor Shower” - a funny and unforgettable play written and produced by Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin!) - continues at Centenary Stage Company.

The vineyards and breweries are alive with good drinks and live music, including the Skylands Ale Trail Brewery Tourwhich allows for new tastes while getting your tour passport stamped to collect a great looking sweatshirt!

Happy waning days of February, and Happy Wanderings!
