Centenary University Lecture Speaker: Centenary Enactus Team

Dr. Linda Poisseroux and student leaders from the Centenary Enactus Team will deliver a presentation defining Enactus and its core values. This discussion will include the ideals of social entrepreneurship, community engagement. improving livelihoods and empowering others. The team will also discuss their socially inspired projects within the local community and globally as well. Currently, the team is focused on providing solar lights to impoverished communities in Dominican Republic, as well as, communities in Puerto Rico who still remain without electricity. They are also busy working on a project addressing the global water crisis. In addition, the team will be excited to share a new and innovative product they recently created and will bring to market next Spring. According to Dr. Poisseroux, Enactus is not only a Centenary student organization. “It’s an energized community where students are encountering hands-on, authentic situations and solving real-world problems.”

The series brings experts in their field from Centenary College to speak one Wednesday evening each month. The program is approximately one hour followed by a Q &A session and includes refreshments
