In continuing to acknowledge all survivors of domestic abuse, and in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, DASACC is hosting its 5th Annual Safer in Warren County Dog Walk to bring awareness to the custom-built animal kennels, installed in August of 2019, that provide safe housing for pets whose owners are domestic violence survivors. Domestic violence happens among all races, ethnicities, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, and ability. It impacts all members of the family, including our pets. By recognizing the overlap of domestic violence and animal abuse, we can help create a Safer Warren County.
Registration begins at 10:30am and the walk begins at 11am. There will be giveaways, activities, and demonstrations to follow. Please join in the walk to end all forms of interpersonal violence.
