The Full Harvest Moon will occur on September 16 this year. It is THE most romantic of all moons. Rising early along the horizon just as the sun sets, it seems larger and brighter than other moons, and nearer to the earth. You almost feel that you could walk to the edge of the earth and touch it. Often bright orange or red, like a colorful lantern, it beckons you.
It heralds the nearing end of summer and of the harvest. Grapes are rising in sugar and flavor as harvest approaches. Accordingly, Villa Milagro has bottled some of the 2013 wines to make room for the 2016 vintage.
In this Pre-Harvest Wine Release event, come on out to sample:
Fuego 2013 - a robust, dry red blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz
Casi Dulce 2013 - a smooth, off-dry red blend of Merlot, Cynthiana and Cabernet Franc
Mi Carino - a fragrant, honey wine, perfect as an aperitif or cordial
$5 admission for tasting, appetizers and a gift glass to take home.
