Sunset and Super Buck Moon Paddle @ Allamuchy Pond

A scenic evening paddle on Allamuchy Pond under the illuminated Super Buck Moon sky! Canoes and kayaks (single and tandem) will be available for rent, and an ACA-certified canoe and kayak instructor and lifeguard will be at the dock to provide assistance.

All abilities are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Boat Rentals:

  • Single Kayak – $35, 2-hour rental, Designed for 1 paddler and possible 1 small child passenger (up to max combined weight of 350 lbs)
  • Tandem Kayak – $50, 2-hour rental, Designed for 2 paddlers and possible 1-2 small children passengers (up to max combined weight of 400 lbs)
  • Canoe – $50, 2-hour rental, Designed for 2 paddlers and possible 1-3 passengers (up to max combined weight of 1,000 lbs)

*All rentals include paddle and lifejackets.

What is a Super Buck Moon?
The full moon in July gets its name from the buck deer that are growing their new antlers this time of year, and it is a Super Moon because the moon appears bigger as it passes the earth in its closest path of orbit.

Historic mansion visited by FDR open for tours every Wednesday at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Concerts are free to the public with a recommended donation of $10, Tea & Talk lecture series, Film Night, summer camps and more.
