Centenary Stage Co.'s 2022 FRINGE FESTIVAL Kicks Off Oct. 13

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) - Centenary Stage Company’s Fringe Festival returns for the 2022-2023 season in October, presenting two unique shows in the Edith Kutz Black Box Theatre.

Kicking off the Fringe Festival is the Parallel Exit production of The Artist will be With You in a Moment running October 13 through 16. The Artist will be With You in a Moment tells the story of a comic everyman is on a never-ending quest to be understood. His audience awaits. Fill in the blanks in this multimedia event that asks us to investigate where the artist's journey ends and the audience's begins. An immersive audience experience in a solo comic performance as an artist, performer, and clown. A creative force who "can get laughs simply by breathing" (The New York Times).

Tickets for The Artist will be With You in a Moment range from $22.50-$27.50 for adults with discounts available for seniors, students, and children under 12. Performances will take place Thursday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, October 14 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, October 15 at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, October 16 at 2 p.m. Performances will take place in the Kutz Theatre located in the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Ave. Hackettstown, NJ.

The 2022 Fringe Festival continues with a Fat Knight production of My Witch, running October 20 through 30. My Witch tells the story of Margaret Hamilton, known for her role as the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. This 85-minute, one-woman show pays homage to the actress behind the most widely recognized cackle. Margaret Hamilton was more than the Wicked Witch of the West, and this show tells the before, during, and after she performed that iconic role.

Tickets for My Witch range from $22.50-$27.50 for adults with discounts available for seniors, students, and children under 12. Performances, also in the Kutz Theatre, will take place Thursdays, October 20 and 27 at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, October 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, October 22 and 29 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, October 23 and 30 at 2 p.m.

Intimate and versatile, The Edith Kutz Black Box Theatre offers an incredibly unique theatrical experience. The "black box" seating can be arranged to meet the specific needs of any production typically seating up to approximately 120 patrons comfortably. Seating is by general admission. Productions ranging from professional equity theatre to small concerts to special events are held in the space.
