Input Sought: NJ Community Landscape Protection (Virtual) Meetings

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is working to protect the beauty of natural viewpoints along the Trail via a Visual Resource Inventory (VRI) process, and is seeking people with knowledge of the communities along the Appalachian Trail in Warren and Sussex counties to participate in virtual meetings and share their voice regarding viewshed protection along this section of the Trail.

VRI participants are expected to have a knowledge of the local area which could include any of the following qualifications: trail club member, state historic preservation office, land trust or other partner organization, academic professional, resident, trail enthusiast. Virtual meetings are scheduled 1-3pm on nine separate dates from Nov. 1-29, depending on the area of the trail, to discuss view importance ratings relative to viewpoints located within a specific geographic region.

By registering for this opportunity, you will be expressing an interest in attending at least one virtual meeting where you will be sharing your voice on how your region's viewpoints are rated.
