Fall Farm Fun

Autumn has arrived! The fruit ripens, it’s time to harvest, the leaves will be displaying their blazing colors soon. It’s a perfect time for wandering in Warren County, to pick apples and enjoy freshly squeezed cider, to take on the challenge of a corn maze or traipse among acres of sunflowers, or just to enjoy nature's most glorious days of the year. Here are some ideas for you and your family to help you plan your fall fun at our farms.

Their 15 varieties of pick-your-own apples are the main attraction, but they also have pick-your-own pumpkins for Halloween, and a berry patch with raspberries and blackberries, as well as jams, jellies, and honey. There are also hayrides for the kids or those just young at heart, and the annual Harvest Festival on October 7, 2023.

Pack a picnic basket, bring a blanket or sit in the gazebo and enjoy the peace and tranquility among hundreds of English, French and Spanish lavenders. The shop offers a variety of natural, handmade lavender products including bath and body, household, culinary, teas, sachets, wreaths, unique gifts, home and garden decor and of course, lavender bundles both fresh (when in season and while supplies last) and dry as well as lavender buds. Also honey from their hives and fresh eggs from the City Girl Flock. The farm is the idyllic setting for artists and photographers to capture the beauty of the lavender field and its beautiful surroundings.

The pick-your-own farm runs through October and features apples, peaches, tomatoes, peppers, beans, eggplants, grapes, corn, candy onions and garlic. Free hayrides on fall weekends – pack a picnic and relax in their beautiful picnic area. Meanwhile, the Farm Stand and Garden Center at 224 Route 94, Blairstown, has vegetables and fruit, as well as seasonal greenhouses full of perennials, annuals, fruit and vegetable plants for every gardening need, plus homemade baked goods, soups, hummus, cider donuts, ice cream, honey, pastas, jams, jellies, local grass fed beef, poultry and dairy products.

Scenic forest trails that skirt the Paulinskill River, family safe horses, and rides to accommodate all experience levels, including Pony Rides for the young and timid!  The Full Day Ride stops midway through the ride at the Blairstown Airport for a lunch break.
